UPDATE: Man Wanted For Attempted Murder Following Stabbing

A 25-year-old man is now wanted for attempted murder after another man was stabbed in Sarnia.

Officers were called to the area of Mitton, Wellington and Ontario streets at around 2am on Thursday. Police say a 36-year-old Sarnia man was rushed to hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Damien Allison-Harding, 25, Sarnia is now wanted for attempted murder, aggravated assault and assault with a weapon in connection with the stabbing. Police have released a photo of the suspect, which is included in the article.  Allison-Harding is to be considered armed and dangerous.

Constable John Sottosanti says thanks to tips from the public, three individuals captured on surveillance video from inside the 7-Eleven around the time of the stabbing have been identified. He says members of the Criminal Investigations Branch want to speak to them about any information they might have about the incident.

This is the second stabbing to occur in Sarnia within the same week.

Sarnia police are continuing to investigate another stabbing that occurred Sunday morning at a home in the area of Forsyth and Davis streets. A 32-year-old Sarnia man suffered stabbing injury and remains in London hospital in stable condition.
