The push to save Jackson Pool here in Sarnia continues this week.
The group advocating to have a pool remain at the Germain Park location is encouraging residents to attend a public input session Thursday, November 2 at 6 pm at Sarnia City Hall.
"We need as many citizens in Sarnia to show their support for saving this pool," says one of the group's creators," Darren Nesbit. "This is a great way for the community to see their tax-dollars at work for our children."
A petition with over 1,500 hand written signatures and the names of a few hundred more who signed a petition online was presented to council last month in hopes of saving the facility.
A pool supply and construction company estimated it would cost over $580,000 to repair the pool.
