International Film Festival Returns To Sarnia

It's time to get your popcorn ready for the return of the South Western International Film Festival (SWIFF) to the Imperial Theatre.

The four day event from November 2-5, features exclusive film programming, a two-night concert series and interactive experiences including Sarnia's first ever virtual reality gallery.

"The goal of the festival is to allow people to see things from a different perspective," says Executive Director and Sarnia native Ravi Srinivasan. "We want viewers to be able to place themselves in somebody else's shoes."

Ravi went on to say that he hopes this festival engages a region that has a growing thirst for art and culture.

The event kicks off with the film Detroit. The movie tells the story of one of the darkest moments during the civil unrest in the city during the summer of 1967.

Other films include Incendies, Sweet Country and The Florida Project.

Tickets are now available at www.swiff.ca, and will also be sold at the Imperial Theatre box office while supplies last.
