Kyrou Named OHL Player Of The Week

After an impressive showing this past weekend, Sarnia Sting forward Jordan Kyrou has been named the Ontario Hockey League Player of the Week.

The 19-year-old St. Louis Blues draft pick scored four goals and added four assists in victories in North Bay, Sudbury, and Barrie.

For the season, Kyrou leads the team with 22 points in 11 games, including has eight goals and 14 assists.

The Sting is off to a red hot start this season with a 12-1-0-0 record, including 11 consecutive victories. The team leads the Canadian Hockey League with 71 goals scored, four more than Victoria and ten more than Brandon.

It's the second straight week a Sting player has won player of the week honours after Brady Hinz did so the week prior.

The Sting returns to action for a pair of home games this weekend. The Sault Greyhounds come to town Friday night, and Flint visits on Sunday afternoon.
