St. Clair Township residents can now download a personalized waste and recycle schedule on their smart phone or computer.
Director of Public Works Brian Black says they've partnered with the Recycle Coach app to make life easier for the community.
"The common complaints are that people forget what day they're supposed to have recycling out, and what week the yard waste is being collected," says Black. "Typically, that only spans a few months in the fall and spring. So, having that information on your phone, allows more people to take advantage and ensures people don't forget."
Black says it's also a good educational tool, providing information on what can and can't be recycled.
The free app is available on Android and Apple devices.
