Knife-Wielding Man Robs Pharmacy

Sarnia police are investigating another robbery at the Northgate Pharmacy.

Police say a male suspect armed with a large knife entered the pharmacy in the 500-block of Exmouth St. Tuesday afternoon. He stole several hundred dollars in cash and 15 to 20 packages of fentanyl under the name brands of TEVA and Sardoza.

The lone suspect is described as a light skinned male, between 5'6" and 5'10" tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black zipped up hoodie with a white skeleton on the front, dark pants and blue shoes.

Police say the armed suspect fled the scene in a smaller dark pick-up truck towards Capel St. The vehicle was later located in the 900-block of Colborne Rd.

This is the second robbery at the Exmouth St. pharmacy this summer. On Monday, July 17, two young adult males disguised with balaclavas threatened pharmacy staff with an edged weapon and made off with a significant amount of cash and opioid painkillers including fentanyl, hydromorphone and other pills.

Police are still looking for one suspect in connection with that incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sarnia police Detective Soucek at 519-344-8861 ext. 6191 or Detective Kent Jamieson at ext. 6221.
