Heaven's Wildlife Rescue in Oil Springs is appealing to the public for donations.
The rehabilitation and education centre was forced to close its doors August 15 due to a lack of funds.
Volunteer Coordinator Tracey Kaplin says the cost to rehab each animal is between $40 and $60 a month and they still have just under 50 animals at the facility.
"We are hoping to get some bigger sponsors, if we can get some sponsors in helping fix some of our equipment it would be so much appreciated," says Kaplin. "We bring them in we get their shots we get them up to date so that they're not going to spread any diseases and feed them. We manage their whole care for usually 16 to 24 weeks."
Kaplin says they are hoping to raise enough money to reopen as soon as possible.
The sixth annual Walk-A-Thon and Bazaar is being held Saturday, September 16 at Canatara Park.
