Alleged Impaired Driver Arrested After Crash In Pinery Park

A 23-year-old Etobicoke man was arrested for impaired driving after a collision Saturday night in Pinery Provincial Park.

Lambton OPP responded to a single-vehicle crash in the park off Lakeshore Rd. around 8pm.

Officers arrived to find a damaged vehicle on the side of the road that had hit a tree.

The driver was not injured and was identified to police by the park warden.

Breath tests conducted at the OPP Grand Bend detachment indicated the male driver was allegedly almost twice the legal limit.

He is to appear in Sarnia court July 24.

A 40-year-old St. Clair Township man has been charged with impaired driving following a complaint by the public.

Just before 7:30pm on Sunday, OPP pulled over a vehicle turning eastbound onto St. Clair Blvd. off Moore Line.

OPP say the man blew over two times the legal limit.

An American trying to enter Canada at the Blue Water Bridge late Friday night was arrested and turned over to OPP for suspected drunk driving.

Police allege a 32-year-old man from Novi, Michigan blew almost twice the legal limit at the Lambton OPP Corunna Detachment and was charged.

He's to appear in a Sarnia court on August 14.
