National Canadian Film Day

Lambton County residents are being given the opportunity to be a part of the world's largest film festival Wednesday.

This year's Canadian Film Day is celebrating Canada's 150th at the Sarnia Library.

"It is just a drop in event," says Lambton-County Library spokesperson Greer MacDonald. "Anyone who is interested in Canadian cinema is welcome to attend. This event is for everyone."

Three Canadian films will be shown at the Sarnia Library Wednesday, April 19. - Mighty Jerome at 10:30am - Calendar at 12:30pm - Manufactured Landscapes at 2:30pm

MacDonald also says people can even participate in the comfort of their own home. Canadian films are available for patrons to borrow through the county with the ownership of a library card.

National Canadian Film Day will take place at over 1,700 locations across the country.
