Bluewater Health Welcomes New Doctors

A new cardiologist, psychiatrist and radiologist are being welcomed at Bluewater Health.

Chief of Professional Staff Dr.Mike Haddad says he's pleased that they were able to recruit the specialists to support patient needs.

“Dr. Farag will assist Bluewater Health in expanding services to support our cardiology patients. Dr. Anyaegbuna will add to our complement of psychiatrists and also provide medical leadership to the Mental Health and Addiction Services program, and Dr. Khan will be a great addition to our Diagnostic Imaging department," he says. Dr. George Faraq went to medical school in Egypt, then immigrated with his family to Canada. He completed his internal medicine training at McMaster University, and his cardiology training at Western University. Dr. Farag then went to the University of Toronto to subspecialize in echocardiography. Dr. Okechukwu Anyaegbuna completed his medical degree at the University of Nigeria and his psychiatric training at Dublin University. Since 2012, Dr. Anyaegbuna has been practicing as a Consultant Psychiatrist at the Saint John Regional Hospital in New Brunswick and has served as the Medical Director of its inpatient service. Dr. Vajid Khan completed his medical degree at the University of Western Ontario, followed by his residency in diagnostic radiology at McMaster University. He has also completed a cross-sectional imaging fellowship at St. Michael’s Hospital at the University of Toronto. Dr. Khan has practiced at St. Joseph’s Health Care in London for the last 17 months as Radiologist and Assistant Professor at Western University.

Since 2009, Bluewater Health has recruited more than 46 new physicians to Sarnia Lambton.
