Preferred Towing To Hit The Small Screen

A Sarnia towing company will be featured on a new TV series, Heavy Rescue: 401.

After 24 years of business, Preferred Towing is set to star in the Discovery Channel reality series that will debut next January.

Owner Gary Vandenheuvel says crews filmed them seven days a week over a three month period last winter.

He says the show will feature the work they do along Hwy. 401, 402 and throughout Lambton County.

"It's a big area and we get a lot of truck traffic through here and vehicle traffic," says Vandenheuvel.

"They just want to feature the 400 series highways and what it takes to keep them open."

Appearing in the show will be Gary, his son Colin and four other employees at the company.

Vandenheuvel says he's looking forward to seeing Sarnia featured, but wouldn't give away too many details. He says you'll have to wait and see when the show debuts next January.
