Lambton Public Health is hoping food system stakeholders will take action to improve access to locally grown and healthy food.
A meeting from 10am until 12 noon on February 9th at Sarnia's Clearwater Arena will also address ways to improve food knowledge and skills.
Public Health Nutritionist Lana Smith says they hope to have a report completed by the fall on their process so far.
"Which then will give stakeholders in the community actions for these priorities and we're hopeful that by engaging stakeholders in the process now, that the actions will hopefully be mobilized and we'll be working at that in the next step," says Smith.
Involved stakeholders include production, processing, distribution of food, waste management as well as those who access and consume food.
