Water Damage Closes 'Parking Authority' Building

The City of Sarnia has temporarily closed its Bylaw Enforcement Office at 226 Wellington St. due to water damage.

Director of Planning and Building Jane Cooper says damage to the facility, also known as the Parking Authority building, is being assessed.

She says it's anticipated test results will be available by the end of the week.

Until it's confirmed that the building is safe for staff and public access, the bylaw department will operate out of city hall's third floor.

Cooper says service delivery should not be impacted.

Parking fines can be paid online, by mail, using the drop box at 226 Wellington St. or in person at the third floor counter at city hall.
