With the Ontario government's proposed sale of 60 per cent of Hydro One, Chambers of Commerce from across the province are looking for answers.
The Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce has joined a coalition of 36 Ontario Chambers of Commerce and Boards of Trade calling on the provincial government to provide factual evidence that electricity prices will not increase as a result.
President Rory Ring says they want to be ensured electricity prices won't spike as a result.

Ring is concerned because the sale is being done "behind closed doors" without the ability to apply to the freedom of information act.
He says industrial electricity rates have risen 16 per cent since the Long Term Energy Plan was introduced in 2013. That's expected to increase another 13 per cent over the next five years.
