August 6, 2015 1:01pm
The Sarnia Sting is hoping for a big turnout for the annual Black and White game as the team, and the city officially welcomes the new ownership.
A pre-game pep rally will get underway two hours prior to the 7:05pm puck drop on September 2, highlighted by a formal welcome from Mayor Mike Bradley, and a few words from new owners, Derian Hatcher and David Legwand.
President Bill Abercrombie says they are hoping to build on the great fan support they received during last year’s playoffs.
The event, at the RBC Centre, will feature live music, interactive games, and a licensed beer garden.
Admission is free, with proceeds from the 50/50 draw, Jersey raffle, and lineup sheet sales going back to the United Way.
