Corunna's Derek Drouin won the high jump gold medal at the Pan Am Games Saturday night.
His winning jump of 2.37 m is one of the three best in the world this year.
Canadian Mike Mason won silver.
The 25-year-old Drouin won a bronze medal in high jump at the Summer Olympics in London, England in 2012.
He holds the Canadian record at 2.40 m.
