The Sarnia Sting have locked up their second round pick as goalie Aidan Hughes has agreed to a Standard Player Agreement with the hockey club. The 34th overall pick in 2015 OHL Priority Selection posted a 1.01 goals-against average and .942 save-percentage in 17 games with the London Jr Knights. His strong play helped lead London the to semi-finals at the OHL Cup.
Hughes just turned 16 in April. The 6’3”, 240 lbs netminder was invited to attend Hockey Canada’s Summer Showcase and take part in the National Under-17 development camp.
