Police Search For Knife Used In Stabbing

The Sarnia Police Service is looking for a knife used in a weekend stabbing.

A 39-year-old female allegedly stabbed a 39-year-old male just after 11pm Saturday night in the 300 block of Confederation St. Police say the pair are known to each other.

The male was transported to Bluewater Health with non-life threatening injuries. The female is being held, and faces charges of assault with a weapon, aggravated assault and two counts of breach of probation.

Criminal Investigations officers are asking people in the area to be aware that the knife has not been recovered and was possibly discarded in that area. It is described as a one foot long white handled kitchen knife.

Anyone with information is asked to call Sarnia police or Crime Stoppers.
