Thunderstorm Watch Ended For Sarnia-Lambton

A severe thunderstorm watch issued by Environment Canada just before noon Monday, ended around 4pm for Sarnia-Lambton.

The national weather agency said conditions were favourable Monday for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing torrential rain.

Potentially heavy thunderstorms tracked into southwestern Ontario from lower Michigan but stayed south of Lambton.

In fact rainfall warnings were issued in the late afternoon for Chatham-Kent and Windsor-Essex.

Fast moving water across a road can sweep a vehicle away. Rapidly rising rivers and creeks can sweep away bridges, culverts, buildings, and people.

Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year and remember, when thunder roars, go indoors.
