Over 1,000 anglers from across southwestern Ontario participated in the Bluewater Anglers 39th Annual Salmon Derby.
There were 431 fish entered at the Sarnia weigh station and 570 fish were entered at the Port Franks weigh station for a Salmon Derby total of 1,001 fish.
The winners in the Bluewater Anglers 39th Annual Salmon Derby are:
- Tim Nolan of Camlachie in the Salmon category with a 17.44 lb salmon - Richard Wilson of Grand Bend in the Trout - Boat category with a 11.26 lb rainbow trout - Mike Howie of Sarnia in the Trout - Shore category with a 11.30 lb rainbow trout - Tricia Geerts of Sarnia in the Lake Trout category with a 19.80 lb lake trout - Barry Smith of Sarnia in the Walleye category with a 7.74 lb walleye - Tricia Geerts of Sarnia is the Ladies Day winner with a 19.80 lb lake trout - Jake Van Rooyen of Camlachie is the Seniors Day winner with a 12.70 lb salmon - Fin Wells of London is the Kids Big Fish winner with a 14.14 lb lake trout
An awards night will be held next Wednesday at the Point Edward Community Centre.
