Pacers Set For A Pair Of Home Games

The Point Edward Pacers are back in action this weekend as they get set for a pair of home games against two pretty good teams. They'll host Orangeville tonight then Six Nations tomorrow afternoon, both at the Point Edward Arena. Captain Liam Wright says it'll be a good early season test for the Pacers. With two wins and three loses the Pacers can pull could finish the weekend with a winning record, but it'll be no easy task with a pair of division leaders coming to town. Orangeville has a 5-1 record while Six Nations is unbeaten at 6-0.

With several rookies on the Pacers they are one of the younger teams in the Jr. B circuit this season, but Wright says the teams talent makes up for their lack of experience.

Wright credits the new system from Head Coach Randy Dunn who's in his first season with the team. He says defense and goaltending is going to be a big factor for the team going forward. Wright was named captain earlier this season, a distinction he isn't taking lightly. He says he looks forward to leading the team during the 2015 season, which will be his last with the Pacers Tonight's game is at 7pm while tomorrows matinee gets underway at 3pm.
