The Sarnia Sting selected centre Sasha Chmelevski with the tenth overall pick in this year's OHL Priority Selection.
The Northville, Michigan native scored ten goals and 24 points in 25 games with the Honeybaked Under-16 program. Chemelevski was the first American born player taken in this year's draft.
The Sting chose Ryan McGregor from Burlington with the second pick in the second round. The left shooting centre had 17 goals and 37 points in 32 games for the Eagles last season.
Sarnia then selected goalie Aidan Hughes from the London Junior Knights with the 12th pick in the second round. Hughes was the second goalie taken in the year's draft.
