Greyhounds Double Sting

The Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds skated to a 6-3 victory over the visiting Sarnia Sting Saturday night.

The game was tied 1-1 after the first period and Sarnia head coach Trevor Letowski liked the team's effort in the first 20 minutes.

But the Sting got into penalty trouble in the second resulting in three straight Soo power play goals.

The Sting had a 23-16 lead in shots after two periods but trailed by three goals.

The teams traded goals in the third with the final shots tally tied at 31 each.

Davis Brown struck twice for the Sting with Nikita Korostelev also scoring.

The playoff bound Sting head into the final weekend of the regular season with a home game against Windsor on Friday, then road games in Owen Sound and Guelph. All games can be heard live on CHOK.
