Vessel traffic is moving again, as ice breaking efforts continue on the St.Clair River.
Canadian Coast Guard spokesperson Carol Launderville says although conditions have slightly improved over the past couple of weeks, ice is still very thick just above Marine City, Michigan.
She says the ice is flushing downriver from Lake Huron, creating very difficult conditions for vessel traffic.

Launderville says the Canadian Coast Guard Icebreaker Samuel Risley and American cutters Neah Bay and Mackinaw are escorting four ships upbound the river today.
Four other vessels are waiting to travel downbound.
