Ice jamming remains a concern on the lower St Clair River.

With Lake St. Clair essentially frozen over, ice flows drifting downriver from Lake Huron are building up.

Bluewater Ferry Manager Morgan Dalgety says service has been suspended for five days now.

The Walpole-Algonac ferry has also suspended service this week.

Canadian Coast Guard Ice Breakers’ Griffon and Samuel Risley and the U.S. Cutter Neah Bay continue to assist marine traffic in the area.
