UPDATE: Names Released In 402 Crash That Killed 2-Year-Old

Lambton OPP now say a 2-year-old Corunna girl was tragically killed in a single-vehicle rollover on Hwy. 402 Saturday night.

Police, Wyoming firefighters and EMS responded to the westbound 402 west of Oil Heritage Rd. just before 9pm.

Constable Todd Monaghan says the child and a 27-year-old female passenger were ejected during the collision but the adult, Leilani Williams of Sarnia, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the deceased child is identified as Faith Crockford-Vandermeer of Corunna, whose residence was previously noted as Sarnia.

The 27-year-old male driver, Daniel Crockford of Sarnia, suffered non-life threatening injuries, while the fourth occupant of the vehicle, 4-year-old Leona Williams, was reportedly not hurt.

The westbound 402 at the crash scene was initially closed and then reduced to one lane during the police investigation that was assisted by West Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigation members.

The highway had fully reopened by 4am.

OPP say the investigation continues.
