Efforts Continue To Reduce Police Budget
Sarnia’s police chief and his staff continue to go over the draft budget with a fine tooth comb.
Phil Nelson says now that final benefit packages have come in, they’ve been able to reduce the $21.4-million budget by $70,000.
That represents an increase of 4.12 per cent.
He says it’s been a frustrating process.
City council considers police spending as part of its overall budget deliberations December 9.
