Cyclist Charged In Collision

Sarnia police have charged a 21-year-old cyclist in a collision with a vehicle around 7pm Wednesday night.

The man was given a ticket for riding his bike in a crosswalk.

Police say the cyclist was crossing Lorne Cres. at Wellington when a collision occurred with a vehicle stopped at a stop sign.

Police also say there were no lights on the bike.

The man was treated at hospital for minor injuries.

Police say cyclists must have a white light on the front of the bicycle at night and must walk the bike through a crosswalk.

The fine for not doing so is $110.
