Power Restored In Sarnia-Lambton

Power was restored by noon Tuesday across Sarnia-Lambton to most people impacted by Monday's high winds.

A gust of 76 km/h was recorded at Chris Hadfield Airport at mid afternoon Monday but 90 to 100 km/h winds occurred at times across the province.

There was property damage and tree limbs and hydro lines came down.

Hydro One spokesperson Tiziana Baccega Rosa says Lambton County was one of the first areas affected as the strong cold front moved through.

Thousands were without power at the height of the winds Monday afternoon with the Wyoming, Petrolia and Watford areas being hardest hit.

Bluewater Power reports no remaining outages.

Across the province Hydro One says over 87,000 customers lost power and efforts were continuing Tuesday to restore service. Photo submited via BlackburnAppPhoto submited via BlackburnApp
