Rollovers On Snowy Roads

Police are urging motorists to slow down and adjust to winter driving conditions that prevailed across southern Ontario Thursday.

Roads across the region were snow covered and slippery with reduced visibility in flurries and blowing snow.

A blowing snow advisory was posted for Sarnia-Lambton.

One person suffered non life threatening injuries in a single-vehicle rollover Thursday morning in St. Clair Township.

Lambton OPP, fire and EMS responded to the crash just before 7am at Courtright Line and Waubuno Rd.  Police say a vehicle had left the roadway and rolled.

Thursday afternoon, there were reports of several vehicles in the ditch along Hwy. 402 between Kerwood Rd. and Strathroy,  including a transport trailer on its side.

OPP and EMS responded to a crash on Hwy. 402 in the morning between Strathroy and Mount Brydges.

Eyewitness accounts indicated a van left the highway and rolled in the median.  Traffic in both directions was slowed through that area.

Petrolia Volunteer Firefighters responded to an early afternoon collision at the intersection of Oil Heritage Rd. and Lasalle Line.  Its not known if there were any injuries.
