Appeal Heads To Court Tuesday
The Ontario Court of Appeal will begin hearing a challenge to the City of Sarnia’s zoning bylaw regarding the River City Vineyard’s homeless shelter Tuesday.
Three judges will hear presentations from both sides.
Last fall a Superior Court Justice upheld the city’s legal right under its zoning bylaw to close the Mitton St. homeless shelter.
Lawyers for the Shelter argue the church-run operation is protected under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
