Suncor Wind Project Appeals

Appeals have been launched to Suncor’s recent provincial approval of the Cedar Point wind project in Plympton-Wyoming and Warwick Township.
The Bryce Family and County of Lambton are seeking a reconsideration from Ontario’s Environment Review Tribunal while the Town of Plympton-Wyoming is seeking participant status at the hearing.
“We’re Against Industrial Turbines” spokesperson Ingrid Willemsen supports the decision to appeal.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 6 with the hearing to commence November 3 at the Camlachie Community Hall.
W.A.I.T. plans to challenge the Suncor project all the way to the Supreme Court, which could cost up to $300,000.
Online donations have already raised over $100,000 to help cover legal costs.
