Dog Park To Be Reconsidered

City staff have reconsidered an initial recommendation to Sarnia Council about establishing an off-leash dog park at Clearwater Park.
Acting Director of Parks and Recreation Barry LaPlante says they’ve prepared a report and are now advising council not to proceed with a one year pilot project.
An online petition against the dog park has collected over 500 signatures.
The report is available for the public to view on the city’s website www.sarnia.ca
Sarnia council will reconsider its prior decision September 29.
In April, Council gave a local group the green light for a pilot project to test the idea from November to next April.
