Battle Of Britain CeremonySeptember 14, 2014 7:33am
The Battle of Britain was commemorated at Germain Park Sunday afternoon.
The German Air Force waged the Second World War air campaign against the United Kingdom during the summer and fall of 1940.
403 Wing President John Stewart says the ceremony takes place where the F-86 Sabre Golden Hawk usually sits.
The F-86 Golden Hawk was removed from Germain Park earlier this year to be restored.
It’s hoped the monument will be returned to its pedestal in the park sometime in October.
