Sting Finishes Preseason With Win

Ryan Vendramin and Jordan Kyrou each scored twice as the Sarnia Sting beat the Windsor Spitfires 4-2 at the RBC Centre Friday night.
With the win the Sting concluded its OHL preseason schedule with a record of 4 and 1.
Windsor led 1-0 after one period but the Sting replied with three goals in the second to lead 3-2 and added another marker late in the third to secure the victory.
Justin Fazio got the start in goal and again looked good but gave way to Steven Taylor who was given the chance to play the last half of the final period. Taylor played for the Mooretown Flags last season.
The Sting prepares now for the games that count, opening the regular season on the road at Sault Ste. Marie Friday September 26. The Sting is at Saginaw the following night and has its home opener Friday October 3 against the Barrie Colts.
The OHL announced Friday that sophomore forward Noah Bushnell has been suspended for the first ten games of the regular season for a head check in London last weekend.
