Sarnia City Councillor Seeks 6th Term

Long time Sarnia city councillor Mike Kelch is seeking a 6th consecutive term.

Kelch filed his nomination papers this morning at City Hall and as of noon today (Thursday) was one of 16 people vying for the four lower tier seats.

Kelch has some key priorities if reelected.

He says its critical the city continue on its path to zero the debt and control costs, while facing major issues like the ongoing repair of Centennial Park.

Incumbent councillor Terry Burrell is also seeking reelection while councillor Jon McEachran announced last week he is not.

Councillor Andy Bruziewicz is running for one of the four dual city-county seats this time which means at least two new councillors will be elected October 27.
