Prominent Sarnia Cardiologist Killed Overseas

A distinguished Sarnia cardiologist has been tragically killed in Spain, reportedly in a pedestrian/vehicle collision.

BlackburnNews.com has confirmed Dr.Bal Sahay died overseas Saturday.

The 73-year-old gained international recognition as of one of the leading physicians of the world in 2011.

Bluewater Health CEO Sue Denomy says although Dr. Sahay had retired from Bluewater Health two and a half years ago, he had a very active practice.

An Internal Medicine Specialist has agreed to step in to fulfill patient cardiac examinations and his Sarnia office remains open.

Dr. Sahay had medical licences in Canada, the U.K, U.S, Bermuda and Spain.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the D. J. Robb Funeral Home will be announced at a later date.
