W.A.I.T. Fundraising To Take On Suncor

“We’re Against Industrial Turbines” is asking for financial help to help pay for legal costs in their battle against Suncor’s 46-turbine Cedar Point Wind Power project
Spokesperson Ingrid Willemsen says an anonymous donor will match dollar-for-dollar, up to a $20,000 maximum, all donations made before Sunday.
W.A.I.T. plans to challenge the Suncor project all the way to the Supreme Court, which could cost up to $300,000.
The province granted Renewable Energy Approval last Friday, but Willemsen says it’s a simple rubber stamp with an Environmental Review Tribunal yet to come.
