A temporary drop off site has been established in Lambton Shores for residents still cleaning up from Sunday night’s tornado.

Deputy Mayor Elizabeth Davis-Dagg says storm damaged tree waste can be taken to Klondyke Sports Park east of Hwy. 21 until the end of August.

Davis-Dagg says waste and recycling pick up for residents in the Beach O’Pines, Huron Woods and Pinedale subdivisions will take place this Friday. (August 1)

The regularly scheduled pick up on Tuesday was not possible in the aftermath of the storm.

Hydro One crews remain in the Grand Bend area cleaning up in the wake of the tornado.

Utility spokesperson Nancy Shaddick says a damage estimate is not yet available.

Power was fully restored to residents in the Grand Bend area late last night.

Anyone still experiencing problems is advised to contact Hydro One.
