Finishing touches are being made to a large Mitton St. mural project today.

The mural is being painted on the side of The Outdoorsman as part of the Judith and Norman Alix Art Gallery’s “Random Acts of Art Workshops.”

Community Art Gallery Assistant Caitlyn McMillan says the project is hoped to target crime prevention by engaging youth.

McMillan hopes this weeks project will inspire other businesses in Sarnia to donate more walls for murals.

About 15 youth, aged 13 to 18 years old, have been involved in the workshop led by Thunder Bay artist Boy Roland.
