Water Tower Inspection

The Petrolia Water Tower will temporarily taken out of service in early August.

Director of Operations Joe Adams says they’ll conduct a routine inspection inside the holding tank following $1-million refurbishment two years ago.

Adams says the tower’s water level will be gradually diminish as it’s lowered on demand. Then the last of the water will be drained so inspection crews can be lowered inside.

Petrolia residents won’t notice any water shortage as water will be pumped from the Mandaumin booster station.

The water tower has a maximum capacity of 685,000 gallons.
