Construction Of Sewage Treatment Facility To Begin Soon

K&L Construction has been awarded tender for a new $16.7-million sewage treatment facility to serve Lambton Shores and South Huron.

Lambton Shores Mayor Bill Weber says the new plant will improve the effluent being released into the water and provide additional capacity for more growth.

The Environment Ministry is currently reviewing the certificate of approval.

It’s hoped construction will begin in the next couple of months with a targeted completion date of November 2015.
