Fewer Smog Days Recorded

Sarnia-Lambton’s air quality has improved significantly.

In fact , Ministry of Environment and Climate Change spokesperson Kate Jordan says its getting better across all of Ontario.

Jordan says a 30 per cent reduction in bi particulate matter and 40 per cent reduction in nitrogen dioxide has been recorded in Ontario.

She says those are the two main ingredients in smog.

Jordan says shutting down Ontario’s coal fired power plants, including Lambton Generating Station, has helped.
