New Woodlands Conservation Bylaw ScrappedJuly 3, 2014 10:11am
A Warwick Township landowner has voiced concerns over what he calls “lack of enforcement” of Lambton County’s Woodlands Conservation Bylaw.
Speaking before County Council Wednesday, Wayne Edwards says he can’t understand where all of the trees have gone if the county has had a bylaw in place since 1979.
County council decided to forgo work on an entirely new document and continue enforcement of its bylaw drafted in 2012.
Enniskillen Township Mayor Kevin Marriott says the decision isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
The bylaw outlines how the county handles applications for tree cutting.
