Keys Turned Over To Habitat Home

The ten member Esengi family now has a place to call home after being given the keys to their new humble abode in Sarnia Thursday.

A Habitat for Humanity youth build involved 11 teams of volunteers between the ages of 16 and 25.

Riziki says her new home on Maple Ave. is perfect for her, her husband and their eight children.

Riziki says until now their family rented a five bedroom apartment sharing just one bathroom among the ten of them.

The Esengi family moves into their new home Saturday.

They came to Canada eight years ago after fleeing from their war-torn home country of Congo.
