Firearm Recovered In Search

Sarnia police say officers have recovered a firearm following a public safety search of a residence on South Christina St.

Police say on Thursday, members of the Sarnia Police Service Vice Unit conducted a weapons investigation and recovered a rifle or a “long gun” during their search of the residence.

The investigation as to the ownership and origin of the firearm is ongoing and no charges have been laid.

Police are not providing any further details at this time.
