New Aquatic Plants At Lake Chipican
Lake Chipican will be home to new aquatic plants today thanks to some community partners.
RBC Wealth Management and Friends of the St. Clair River are planting native aquatic plants that help provide food, shelter and hiding for animals and insects.
Michael Kooy of RBC Wealth Management helped initiate the funding, and says attracting insects to the lake in Canatara Park is critical.
The planting begins at 5:30pm this afternoon with help from some students at King George VI Public School.
