Horwath Promises to Keep Daycares Open

Ontario NDP leader Andrea Horwath made her second election campaign stop in Sarnia-Lambton Riding today, looking to score points on the contentious Coronation Park Day Nursery issue.
Horwath says if elected on Thursday, an NDP government will invest $100-milllion to keep child care centres open across the province.
Horwath also countered Premier Kathleen Wynne’s assertion that a vote for the NDP is a vote for the Progressive Conservatives, saying her party is the only viable alternative.
A handful of placard-carrying wind turbine protesters gathered outside candidate Brian White’s campaign office at Northgate Plaza during Horwath’s visit.
