RAIL Named Warden’s Citizen Of The Month

Mike Bradley, Mayor, City of Sarnia; Ed Banninga, Treasurer, RAIL Advocacy In Lambton (RAIL); Eileen Viola, 2nd Vice President, RAIL; Mabel Higgins, Vice President, RAIL; Todd Case, Warden, County of Lambton; and Jim Houston, President, RAIL.

Rail Advocacy In Lambton (RAIL) is being recognized for its work to push for enhanced passenger rail service both locally and nationally.

The group has been presented with Warden Todd Case’s Citizen of the Month Award for May.

Case says RAIL has been actively meeting with government and community stakeholders to promote the development of a National Rail Policy.

Case says Via has acknowledged the group’s recommendation to re-instate eastward stops at Wyoming and Strathroy as well as an earlier arrival to Toronto. Sarnia has also been included in Via’s Tuesday specials.
