Plans Finalized For “The Gathering”

Plans have been finalized for “The Gathering.”

The event celebrating the 100th anniversary the city, will be held at the RBC Centre Saturday, June 28.

Centennial Celebration Committee Chair Liz Kenny says a line up of home-grown talent has been booked.

Comedian John Wing will emcee the event and entertainment will include  performances by Emm Gryner and Chris Hadfield is also planned.

Kenny says the retired Sarnia born astronaut will also make a presentation about his experiences as commander of the International Space Station.

The band Rumblefish will cap off the evening.

Doors open at 5:30pm.

Tickets are now available for $12 a person at the RBC Centre box office. 4,000 are available.
